Why is it Important?
Medical care and prescription costs are two common difficulties that many individuals and families face. Although the penalty for being without health insurance (individual mandate) has been removed, the reality is that these costs can be devastating without proper coverage.
We offer a variety of health insurance products including:
- Dental and vision coverage
Whether you are self-employed, unemployed or perhaps work for a small business that’s not able to offer benefits, we can help you find an insurance plan to fit your personal needs. We are also certified to assist with Marketplace Enrollment for those who wish to seek a tax credit to help offset their costs.
The specific coverage you receive with an ACA (Affordable Care Act) compliant plan will vary based on the plan you choose. The Affordable Care Act dictates that for plans to be deemed ACA compliant, they must include the 10 Essential Health Benefits like:
- Preventative care
- Emergency care
- Outpatient care when you are not admitted to the hospital
- Pregnancy and newborn care
- Services for mental health and substance use disorders
- Rehabilitative services
- Pediatric care
- Laboratory service
In addition to the 10 Essential Health Benefits, you cannot be denied an ACA compliant plan due to pre-existing conditions nor can the insurance company charge you a higher rate due to health conditions or your gender.
If you are in transition and only need a limited period of coverage, we can help you with that. Temporary or Short-Term plans can cover you for 30 days or up to two years, depending on your state of residency.
The plans can be personalized which gives you the freedom to choose your deductible, length of coverage and billing method. Unfortunately these plans do not satisfy ACA (Affordable Care Act) creditable coverage requirements, so this is not meant to be a long-term solution.
This type of plan can be a very cost-efficient option for someone who only needs catastrophic coverage and does not need coverage for pre-existing conditions.
Private health plans refer to insurance plans that are not subsidized by a state or federal government agency.
Some private health insurance plans offer benefits that meet the minimum essential coverage requirements of the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare) while other plans might offer different benefits, such as short-term or catastrophic coverage.
Due to the vast differences in benefits of private health plans and possible eligibility requirements, we will help you compare both to determine which is a better fit.
We offer a variety of dental, vision and hearing plans from a variety of companies. Whether you need something basic or more comprehensive, we will help you find a plan that best fits your needs.
We believe that good relationships are built with trust, honest and open communication and delivering on our promises.
